Happy Birthday Wheaton!



Tonight Aaron and I volunteered at the Sesquicentennial Gala to celebrate Wheaton College's 150th Birthday. Since it's beginning in 1960, Wheaton has contributed to the development of generations of young people committed to Christ and His Kingdom. Tonight we celebrated the work of God over the last 150 years, and his ongoing work on campus and throughout the world through the influence of Wheaton College!

Schedule of Events:
Gourmet Dining Experience and Interactive Exhibits
5:30 - 7:30 pm, Todd M. Beamer Memorial Student Center
Gourmet cuisine throughout the Beamer Center,
Anderson Commons, and Coray Alumni Gymnasium
Experience the rich history of Wheaton's 150 years throughout Lower Beamer
A time capsule to be filled with current Wheaton artifacts to be opened on Wheaton's Bicentennial
Also featuring a surprise display - THE BENCH!!!
Celebratory Program
8:00 - 9:30 pm, Edman Memorial Chapel
Musical arrangements performed by the Wheaton College Symphony Orchestra
Entertainment featuring Wheaton College student performers
Live concert featuring modern hymn writers Keith and Kristyn Getty
Story behind the writing of the new Wheaton College Hymn
Closing Ballroom Dance and Refreshments
9:30 - 11:30 pm, Todd M. Beamer Memorial Student Center
Cutting of the Sesquicentennial Cake
Ballroom Dance in Coray Alumni Gymnasium featuring multiple dance genres including Waltz, Salsa & Swing and Live dance music provided by the Chicago Shout Section.
