Fancy Dishes

Today I went thrifting with Makilah and Carolyn. It was a lot of fun, especially when I found these new dishes. I got a full set of 10 with a few extra pieces for only $35! It was so fun to get some fancy dishes, especially after we didn't get any china from our registry! Now we're set for entertaining the queen!

Kent and Diana's Visit

This weekend Kent and Diana came for a very nice visit. They arrived in the afternoon on Friday and stayed until after Aaron's track meet on Saturday. They brought us a bunch of treats and restocked our pantry. On Friday afternoon we went with Aaron to Track Chapel, and then got some French Fries at the Stupe. When Aaron got home from work we played hearts and then went to bed. On Saturday we went to the Track Meet and then made steaks when we got home. We were so glad to be able to catch up with them and show them around our new home.

Valentine's Day

Tonight when I returned home from watching the Olympics at
Ben's house, the door opened to my wonderful husband all decked
out in his suit and red tie. Aaron had prepared dinner and set the
table for our romantic first Valentine's Day together. He even
wrote me a special note. I felt so loved and cherished!

Avatar

Last night we went to see Avatar in 3D at the cheap little theater with a bunch of our friends. It was a really fun time and the movie itself was also surprisingly well done. From all the bad stuff we had heard about it, we weren't expecting an awesome movie and it turned out that, aside from being one of the most rehashed storylines of all time, Avatar actually did capture our interest for the 162 minutes we were in the theater. Also, it was fun to get out of the house and do something social for a change. :)

24

Aaron and I enjoy watching 24 together as one of our fun bonding times. We started watching it on our honeymoon and by now we're on Season 4. It's a really fun way to spend time together and share something together every day. Tonight for "Wednesday date night" we popped in an episode and some buttery popcorn and enjoyed the show. This is what a true "cheap date" looks like. :)
