I finished my thank you notes!

As of 9:23 tonight, I finished our thank you
notes for the wedding. I've written over 80
thank you notes in the past three weeks,
addressed them all and put in pictures.
I'm so happy to be done! It's such a relief!

Our "Sweeties"

We love our kitties!
Aaron is the sweetest dad, playing with LeBron and calling her "Sweetie" all the time. It's been fun watching him take care of our babies and make sure they are fed and have clean water and litter.

First Track Meet!

First track meet of the season. I think it might have been the smallest track meet ever! The Thunder Track Team traveled to Wisconsin to compete against about 8 total non-Wheaton athletes in all the events. The meet was hosted by the University of Wisconsin Parkside.

It was fun to be with the team and get to watch all the events.

Aaron did pretty well with a jump of 5'10".

I tagged along to do videoing of the field events.

Los Gueritos First Game

Los Gueritos lost their first game today at King Arena after battling mightily. The roster shows 10 guys, but only 9 guys showed up for our game today. Dan's back was hurting him. Matthew and Aaron put up some pretty good shots, and Matthew's defense made for a good laugh on the sidelines. As for me, I kept score and was announced the official "team mom" when I produced cookies for the team at the end of the game. All in all, it was a fun loss...

Beef Stew

Today I made my first crockpot experiment: beef stew! I also made biscuits and gravy to go along with. Aaron loved it. This is one of his favorite meals. It's been so much fun cooking for him and learning how to make what he really likes, and especially how to do it really cheap. This meal only cost us about $4, and it will last us for another meal at least! I really enjoy having my own kitchen and being able to cook whatever I want!

Swimming

Yesterday we went swimming to make up for Aaron's sick day last Thursday. I was really impressed in his progress even this far into his swimming class! He is no longer afraid to put his head under water and now he's even able to do the bobbing exercise 10 times in a row! He showed me how he can do the backstroke and sidestroke and he's getting really good at both of them! I'm so proud of him for facing his fears and for signing up for this swimming class!

Welcome to the Family!

Welcome to the family!

Kobe Lane Woodard

LeBron Jane Woodard

Freshly brought home from the rescue, both 4 month old kitties are enjoying exploring their new home, although the extremely shy Kobe mostly enjoys sitting in the litter box while the more gregarious LeBron loves to chat with anyone and everyone. Ben came by to help christen their arrival, and has since struck up a teasing relationship with little LeBron. Poor little girl can't figure out why the ribbon is pulled away as soon as she catches it. :)
